Charity holds a special position in the social policy of Smart Holding.
The company feels obliged to help the most unprotected members of the society, who are going through tough times of their lives.
Smart group of companies has provided support to dozens of orphan houses, has contributed to building and restoration of cathedrals and churches throughout all the ten years of its existence.
The company followed the initiative of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko at the end of 2007 and entered the joint state and corporate partnership project Warm a Child with Love. The project is targeted to support orphans and families having many children.
In the course of this project, Smart Holding started construction of 10 houses for 10 families which grow over 10 kids in Volyn region.
Furthermore, Smart Holding takes part in the project Children’s Hospital of the Future initiated by the Ukraine-3000 Foundation and has donated UAH 20 million for financing construction of a children’s hospital.
Smart Holding also actively contributes to preservation of the Ukrainian cultural heritage. In particular, the company takes part in the restoration of Baturin, the old hetman capital of Ukraine.
For better management of its charity initiatives, in September 2008 Smart Holding created International Charity Foundation in Honor of the Patronage of the Most Holy Queen, Mother of Our God.
The goal of this foundation is to carry out charity activities in the spirit of Christian faith, preservation of the cultural and historical heritage, development of education, health care, science, arts, sports, spiritual guidance activities in schools and penitentiaries, strengthening the family values in the society.
